Is this course right for me?
A1 Foundations is for adults who are starting English or returning to the basics. You’ll learn through six units about familiar situations, including meeting people, shopping and making plans.
What does the £9.99 price include?
One payment gives you access to all six units, including explanations, interactive activities, reading and listening practice, and speaking and writing tasks. There is no subscription or automatic renewal, and your course access does not expire.
Do I need a subscription or an account first?
You can buy A1 Foundations on its own, without a subscription. Create your learning account during checkout, or sign in with your existing Ace English account.
How long do I have to complete it?
There’s no fixed timetable and no access expiry. Work through the six units at your own pace and return whenever you want to practise.
Are there live lessons or teacher-marked assignments?
This is a self-study course. You’ll work through explanations and activities independently, using model answers and checklists to review your speaking and writing tasks. Live lessons and individual teacher marking are not included.
How do I return to my course?
Sign in to your Ace English account and open My Learning. Your purchased course and saved progress will be there when you’re ready to continue.
Is this a complete A1 course?
A1 Foundations covers the six everyday topics shown above. It is an introduction to beginner English, with useful language and practice to prepare you for further A1 learning.
