What are reflexive pronouns?

The 9 reflexive pronouns are:

Myself, yourself, himself, herself, itself, ourselves, themselves, yourselves, oneself.

Usage

Used when the subject and the object of a sentence are the same. E.g. She cut herself when cooking.
To emphasise the subject. E.g. The headteacher himself admitted the mistake.
To show doing an action alone. Use by + reflexive pronoun. E.g. I watched the series by myself.

Common phrases

1. We fixed the car ourselves.

2. The manager herself knew she needed a break.

3. He sat in the restaurant by himself.
