Fronting

Fronting is used to emphasise the information in the sentence.

In this lesson, you’ll learn how fronting is used and practise using them.

How to use fronting?

Usage

Used to emphasise information in the sentence.

Structure

Place the words from the end of a sentence to the beginning.
Or, words placed after a verb, place it before the verb instead.
Use a comma after the fronted phrase.

For Example

Normal = The plane will take off in 5 mins.
Fronting = In 5 mins, the plane will take off.

Examples

1. Action films I like, and horror films I dislike.

2. Tired as I am, I will finish the task.

3. Here comes the bus!
