Defining
- The information is essential to the sentence
- Who – people, which/that – things, whose – belonging to someone, where – place, when – time
Non-defining
- The information is additional, separated by a comma
Modals of Deduction
- Must = something is certain
- Can’t = certainty is impossible
- Might = something is possible
