Fronting is used to emphasise the information in the sentence.

How to use fronting?

Usage

  • Used to emphasise information in the sentence.

Structure

  • Place the words from the end of a sentence to the beginning.
  • Or, words placed after a verb, place it before the verb instead.
  • Use a comma after the fronted phrase.

For Example

  • Normal = The plane will take off in 5 mins.
  • Fronting = In 5 mins, the plane will take off.

Examples

Action films I like, and horror films I dislike.
Tired as I am, I will finish the task.
Here comes the bus!
